Prof. (emeritus) Yutze Chow's Home Page

Yutze Chow's interest lies in the area of fundemental problems in graph theory and it's applications to physics. The techniques developed by Chow and C.J. Liu using the concept of field-theoretical operators have solved several classical long-standing graph enumeration problems. Chow's most recent work gives a scheme to solve some enumeration problems on nonplanar graphs; the approach that combines ideas developed in physics with some abstract algebraic techniques proved to be very powerful. The work tackles nonplanar graph theories by symbolic computation on computer. Chow, the author of a two-volume text on the theory of Lie Algebras, has a continuing interest on the differential geometrical and algebraic way of understanding some areas of physics.

His interest in differential geometry has indeed some family following. His son Ben Chow is now active in geometrical analysis.
