I teach the following courses at UWM:

Community Ecology

Community Ecology is the investigation of the origin, maintenance, and consequences of species diversity within local communities.  In this course, we learn about the basic patterns and processes of communities and the mechanisms believed to be responsible for them.

Offered every Fall Semester

 Tropical Ecology
BioSci 475

Tropical Ecology is the study of the myriad of interactions that shape tropical ecosystems as we know them.  In this course, we will travel to a variety of different tropical forests in the Republic  of Panama to gain an appreciation for the general patterns and processes of tropical forests, and the mechanisms believed to be responsible for them.

Offered Spring Semesters in even years (2008, 2010, etc.)

General Biology
BioSci 152

Introduction to Microbiology, Zoology, and Plant Biology.  I teach the Plant Biology segment of this course every other semester in odd years (2007, 2009, etc.)
