City Against Suburb: The Culture Wars in an American Metropolis (Praeger, 1999); a comparative analysis of urban social movements in the San Francisco Bay Area from the 1960s to the 1990s.               

 

            Nuestro Milwaukee: The Making of the United Community Center

(Milwaukee, 2000) co-authored with Dana Nix, Sarah Filzen, Marc Rodríguez, Susan Hunter. This is a history of the major community-based organization in Milwaukee.
