Did you know?
Nearly 60% of UWM faculty live within 5 miles of campus -- an easy bike commute! (See chart below)

Give it a try! At a very leisurely pace, a 5-mile bike trip takes less than 30 minutes. Moreover, most faculty and staff can park their bikes within a few feet of their building entrance. Many experienced bike commuters find that it isn't necessary to shower upon arriving at the university. A change of clothes is generally sufficient. Some also employ a judicious application of rubbing alcohol (an excellent deodorant) and talcum powder.

In future we may be able to supply data on all faculty and staff.
