The first exam will be on Thursday, March 8. It will be closed-book. It will cover Sections 0,1,2, and whatever part of 3 we have covered (at least through Theorem 3.10), from the notes. I will hand out a sample set of problems on Tuesday, March 6 in class. You can view or download that sample as a PDF file: follow this link.
The second exam will be on Thursday, April 19. It will be
closed-book. It will cover the end of Section 3 (the material on p.
19), Sections 4,5,6, and Section 7 through Theorem 7.7, from the notes.
I will hand out a sample set of problems on Tuesday, April 17 in class.
You can view or download that sample as a PDF file:

the sample problems are just a sample: they should not constitute
your whole preparation for the exam.
