if not, you can download it at no charge from

You can view the notes in PDF format. These are exactly the same as the notes I handed out in class. This is a very large file; it may take a long time to download or appear to be blank for quite a while.
The second exam will be a closed-book, in-class exam on Thursday, November 16. It will cover Sections 4 and 5 and probably part (or all) of Section 6 from the notes.
The first exam will be a closed-book, in-class exam on Thursday, October 19. It will cover Sections 0,2,3 and possibly part of Section 4 from the notes.
