Wireless Networks Discussed at UWM May 2

MILWAUKEE -"Wireless Networks for Voice and Data" is the topic of a workshop at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Business Administration Center for Technology Innovation on Friday, May 2 from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. in Room N146, School of Business Administration, 3202 N. Maryland Ave.

The speaker is Michael Finneran, president of dBrn Associates, Inc. and a faculty member of The LIDO Organization, Inc. Finneran is an independent telecommunications consultant and has held management positions with ITT WorldCom, AT&T LongLines, and MDS Systems. He is a frequent speaker at industry trade shows and has written numerous articles for industry publications.

The workshop will cover general principles of radio, analog cellular telephone service, digital cellular and PCS systems, wireless data services, 2.5G and 3G cellular services, wireless LANS - IEEE 802.11, and future wireless technologies.
