UWM's School of Information Studies Appoints Advisors

MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Information Studies (SOIS) has appointed Pa Moua and Ryan Durrant as associate advisors. Moua will be working closely with SOIS students, particularly the BSIR (bachelor of science in Information Retrieval) students; Durrant will be responsible for SOIS graduate student enrollment services.

Prior to joining SOIS, Moua was the admissions coordinator/recruiter at UW-La Crosse. She has been actively involved with the local Hmong community. Her previous experience includes the Boys and Girls Club and the School District of La Crosse. She has a master's degree in education and a bachelor of arts degree in history with a minor in political science from UW-La Crosse.

Before coming to UWM, Durrant was a graduate assistant in the Public Affairs Department of the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh. His responsibilities included developing and maintaining the department Web site, and assisting with marketing and student enrollment. He has an bachelor of science degree in international relations with a minor in business management from the University of the West Indies-Mona, located in Kingston, Jamaica. He earned his master's degree in Public Administration from UW-Oshkosh.
