- The University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee will hold a
Homecoming
Weekend Sept. 20-22 for alumni, faculty, staff, students, neighbors and
the community. The weekend will feature a variety of arts, academics, sports,
fun and food.
A tailgate party and Brewer's game at Miller
Park Friday evening, Sept. 20, will kick off the weekend. The tailgate starts
at 4:30 p.m.
On Saturday, September 21, Homecoming activities return to the UWM campus with
an Arts Festival (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and Alumni College, a series of mini-courses
from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. In addition to the music, art exhibits, performances
and Alumni College classes, the day's events also will include refreshments
and a variety of family activities.
On
Sunday, Sept. 22, the Utopian Voices of Praise will open the day's events
at noon singing at a Gospel Brunch at the UWM Union, 2200 E. Kenwood Blvd. A
neighborhood block party will follow from 1-4 p.m.
Tickets for the Brewer's Game, tailgate and Gospel Brunch are available through
the UWM Bookstore in the Union or by calling 1-800-662-5668. The Arts festival,
block party and Alumni College are free, though pre-registration (by Sept. 20)
is required for Alumni College. (
