MILWAUKEE -The musicians of the world-renowned Fine Arts Quartet at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee will play for people with special needs at a private concert from 1-2 p.m. on Thursday, June 13 in the lobby of the Milwaukee Center For Independence, 1339 N. Milwaukee St.
The Milwaukee Center For Independence is a community-based agency that has served children, adults and families with physical and mental disabilities since 1938.
The quartet's performance--open only to invited guests, clients and staff --is intended to highlight the center's numerous programs and services for people with disabilities.
The visit by the Fine Arts Quartet is courtesy of Milwaukee philanthropists Jodi Peck and Les Weil, who have been active in fund-raising for the center.
