UWM Foundation Annual Report

To Our Alumni and Friends:

The 2003 UWM Foundation Annual Report reflects the outstanding support received from UWM’s many alumni, individual, corporate and foundation contributors during the fiscal year July 1, 2002, to June 30, 2003. Contributions and program revenues totaled more than $9 million (including bequests of $941,000 held by the UW Trust). These gifts and pledges represent a significant commitment by our donors, and enabled the Foundation to provide $7,180,000 to the university during 2002-03. The sources for and distribution of restricted and unrestricted gifts are illustrated below

We are pleased to report that, in these uncertain economic times, Foundation investments at market value increased nearly $5 million during the past year, as a result of income from donor contributions and market resurgence in the second quarter of calendar year 2003. The Investments at Market Value charts show this growth.
