OVERDUE FINES
Prompt return of titles on or before the due date is necessary in order to provide satisfactory service to all borrowers. Borrowers of all UWM Multimedia Library Collection titles will be charged at the rate of $1.00 per day, per item, for each day overdue.
As a courtesy reminder only, an overdue notice is sent on the day after an item is due. Failure to receive this reminder is not an excuse for voiding overdue service charges.
All library fines and service charges are to be paid at the Main Circulation Desk in the UWM Libraries. You can pay in person 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday or drop off your payment in the after-hours box. Envelopes are available at the Main Circulation Desk.
LOST OR DAMAGED MATERIAL
When an item is overdue 30 days it is automatically declared lost. A lost or damaged title will be billed at replacement cost plus a $15 lost item processing fee to the user's Library permit. If lost items are returned, user will be charged the maximum fine rate up to $100.

PURCHASE POLICY
The library does not have sufficient funds to purchase all requests; therefore, purchases are not guaranteed.
The procedure for requesting a title for purchase starts by a UWM faculty or staff member submitting a request to their departmental library representative or by filling out the Libraries purchase recommendation form located on the Libraries website. UWM students may also suggest titles for purchase by filling out the Libraries purchase recommendation form.
All purchases will be added to the Multimedia Library's collection and subject to its circulation and check-out procedures.
ADAPTIVE TECHNOLOGY IN THE LIBRARY
