ABSTRACT: Partial records of the group, collected by former 14th ward alderman William Banach, consisting of a constitution; by-laws; one volume of minutes of meetings, October 1935-April 1940; two notebooks of minutes with a few dues records, 1950-February 1952; and a record of attendance at meetings, August 1950-February 1952. Also included are a constitution of the Democratic Organizing Committee of Milwaukee County and a convention program of the Democratic Organizing Committee of Wisconsin (1951). At that time, the population of the 14th ward was overwhelmingly of Polish ancestry (98% in 1946), as were the aldermen from the ward.
