ABSTRACT: Records of the Polish-American Citizens Club (Klub Polsko-Amerykanskich
Obywateli), organized in Milwaukee on 2 January 1917 "to foster better citizenship," to support
chosen candidates for public office, and to contribute to political campaigns and to church and
community causes. Included in the collection are two volumes of minutes of meetings, in Polish,
1934-1946; a silver jubilee album, 1942; a photo of club officers, 1946; and a few news
clippings. The records appear to have been accumulated by John Krukar, recording secretary of
the Polish-American Citizens Club during this period; they were donated by his daughter-in-law,
Phyllis Krukar.

collection is open to all members of the public in accordance with state law. However, the
