ABSTRACT: The actual certificates of marriage from which the register of marriages was created. Contains the same information as the "Register of Marriages" (Milwaukee Micro Series 13) including for both husband and wife: full name, residence, color or race, age, previous marital status, birthplace, number of marriages, occupation, name and birthplace of parents, birth name of mother, and place, date, and other information on the marriage. Certificates are indexed in the Index of marriages (Milwaukee Micro Series 12).

ACCESS RESTRICTIONS: There are no access restrictions on the materials, and the collection is open to all members of the public in accordance with state law. However, the researcher assumes full responsibility for conforming with the laws of libel, privacy, and copyright which may be involved in the use of this collection (Wisconsin Statutes 19.21-19.39).

ARRANGEMENT: In chronological segments and thereunder by date of registration, with several irregularities.
