When corresponding with his constituents, State Assemblyperson
Harold Clemens rarely gave any indication of his stand on proposed legislation.
However on May 7, 1963, he expressed his intention to prevent the construction
of dams in the Wolf River. On May 17, 1963, the Wisconsin State Assembly passed
Bill 442A prohibiting the dam project on the Wolf River.
