Richard Crowe was a Navy Chaplain who was stationed on a Marine Combat Base near Danang.  He wrote home to his wife and children on several occasions to discuss the daily experiences of living in a combat zone and the difficulties faced by him and the soldiers there.  This letter is typical of those he sent home.
