Yankee Surveyors in Imperial Waters: The Perry Expedition to Japan An exhibit highlighted by twelve original nautical charts created during Commodore Matthew Perry's expedition in 1852-1854, as well as other rare maps and books about Japan.

Also on display: One of the AGSL’s newest acquisitions, an extremely rare map entitled “The Man of Commerce.” Published in Superior, WI, in 1889, this large wall map equates the American transportation network with the form and functions of the human body. Through May 16, 2009

The Mitchell Park Conservatory a.k.a. "The Domes" Postcards from the Thomas and Jean Ross Bliffert Postcard Collection (UWM Manuscript Collection 171) illustrate the history of "The Domes," completed in 1967, and the original conservatory, built in 1898 and demolished in 1955.
