AGSL Services - Reproduction of Materials
Xerox Copy Machine Description: This copy machine makes black and white copies up to 11 x 17 inches in size. Cost: Fifteen cents (15¢) per page. The staff will provide photocopies in response to request recieved via e-mail or telephone. There is a minimum fee of $10.00 for this service, which covers making up to 20 pages of copies and includes postage and handling. If more than 20 pages are required, there is an additional fee of $0.25 per page. Large maps can be copied in sections. Not all maps can be photocopied however, due to their age, condition, or copyright restrictions. Microtech Scanmaker E6 Description: The Digital Spatial Data Clearinghouse of the AGSL has a flatbed scanner that scans images, negative transparencies, and positive transparencies in color up to 8.5 x 13 inches. The scanner can be used to scan AGSL materials, pursuant to copyright regulations. Scanning is performed by staff only. Cost: $5/image for UWM students, faculty and staff; $10/image for the general public. Colortrak 4280 Color Scanner Description: The large format scanner scans a maximum 42 inches of active area (max document width is 43 inches) with 400 dpi optical resolution (max 800 dpi). The scanner can be used to scan AGSL materials, pursuant to copyright regulations. Scanning is performed by staff only. Cost: $5/image for UWM students, faculty and staff; $10/image for the general public.
Hewlett Packard 5500ps Description: This equipment plots on a roll of paper (42" wide) in color and is used for printing large maps or other GIS related projects for the library only. Cost: $1.35/sq ft for heavyweight paper and $2.00/sq ft for glossy paper.
Photographic Reproduction Room Reproduction via photography is made possible in the photography room. Materials may be laid out on a large surface equiped with an adjustable camera mount with lights to make photographic reproductions. Cameras are not provided by the AGSL. The Permission Form for Reproduction of Materials must be filled out before photographic reproductions can be made.
