Library of Congress Panoramic Map Collection
This Library of Congress site provides many scanned panoramic maps that cover the
period of 1847 to 1929. These maps are well indexed and can be searched by keyword, author, title, geography, etc. MrSid format was used to give multi-resolution viewing capabilities.
Library of Virginia - Board of Public Works collection
This site gives access to records of the Board of Public Works (1816-1903) which show
information on social history, economics, commerce, and engineering in Virginia. Over 700 maps, drawings, and plans contain an important pictorial and cartographic history of Virginia. Using a MrSid format for the images, you are able to zoom in and out at several levels of resolution.

Ancient Maps of Jerusalem
A joint project of the Jewish National and University Library and the Department of Geography (Hebrew University of Jerusalem), this site contains maps of Jerusalem, and basic information concerning the
map-makers and the history of cartography in Jerusalem. It also includes a collection of scanned images of maps, arranged by cartographer (i.e., person) and date of map, as well as a general map gallery (under construction as of 28 December 2005).
Antique Maps of China Database
The maps included in this database are from the Special Collections of the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology Library. The Antique Maps of China collection includes more than 230 maps, charts, pictures, books and atlases. It represents almost all samples of China maps produced by European cartographers from the 16th to 19th centuries. Users can search for images by title, region, and century.

David Rumsey Collection

Digital Sanborn Maps (Wisconsin maps only) 
Sanborn maps are large-scale plans of a city or town drawn at a scale of 50 feet to an inch. The maps list street blocks and building numbers including numbers in use at the time the map was made and previous numbers.

Historical Map and Chart Collection - Office of Coast Survey [USA]

Index of Historic Maps of Arizona and the Prescott Area
This site has an index of maps and aerial photos in the Sharlot Hall Museum (Arizona) holdings, and a digitized image of maps or photos are linked to many of the index entries. Since the Sharolot Hall Museum collects, preserves, and makes available the documentary history of Yapavai County, Arizona, most of the maps and photos are of the Arizona area.

This site provides access to Britain's most extensive digital historical map archive. To locate a map, enter a place name, address or coordinate (OS Grid Reference)

This National Library of Scotland web site features compressed images of 1,900 Ordnance Survey Scottish town plans, dating between 1847 and 1895 that are freely available for viewing. Pont Maps Web Site - National Library of Scotland
The web site is devoted to Timothy Pont's manuscript maps of Scotland. Scanned images of all the maps are on display. World War II Military Situation Maps
The web site, which is a Library of Congress "American Memory Collection," contains digitized maps showing troop positions in Europe beginning on June 6, 1944 to July 26, 1945. This digital collection consists of 416 printed maps and 115 reports, the originals of
