Tibet exhibit opens Friday at AGSL
An exhibit, titled Travel Photography and the Western Image of Tibet: The Work of Harrison Forman, featuring photographs and motion picture films of "forbidden" Tibet taken in 1932-33, opens this Friday in the AGS Library. An opening reception will take place from 4:30 pm to 6:45 pm this Friday, December 3. After the reception, the exhibit may be viewed from 8:00 am through 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday in the AGS Library, and will run through Friday, January 7. "Ask an Archivist" Virtual Reference Service
Ever wanted to "Ask an Archivist" a question? The Archives Department's virtual reference service is now known as "Ask an Archivist." To better serve researchers and to make virtual reference service more efficient, the Archives has developed an online form which may be used to ask questions directly of Archives' staff. Celebrate GIS Day at AGS Library
On Wednesday, November 17 from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, the American Geographical Society Library will host several activities as the UWM celebrates GIS Day. Lectures, demonstrations, a map gallery, and a reception will be held in the AGSL, located on the 3rd floor, east wing of the UWM Libraries.
