Wisconsin Newsstand provides bibliographic and selected full text access to major Wisconsin newspapers for local topics and local coverage of national topics; information and perspectives not available from the national resources. Dates of coverage vary and some titles are selectively indexed; coverage dates from 1991; Milwaukee Journal Sentinel (MJS) is indexed from 1995. While most citations will include a brief abstract with the bibliographic citation, many of the materials, including MJS, are full text online.
The companion index, ProQuest Newspapers, is a valuable resource for national and international activities, business and financial news, the political climate worldwide, and current events providing bibliographic and selected full text access to major regional, national, and international newspapers. Dates of coverage for individual titles vary; many are covered from 1986. Proquest Historical Newspapers: New York Times (NYT), has full text coverage for the NYT from 1851-2001. Lexis-Nexis Academic also has selected national and international newpaper coverage.
