The Curriculum Library Loan Policy: |
|
Most materials may be borrowed with a valid UWM faculty, staff, or student ID, or a UWM Library Special Permit. [Information on Patron Rights and Responsibilities can be found on the Circulation web page.] Materials circulate for two weeks to all patrons, including faculty and graduate students, and may be renewed once. Curriculum materials must be checked out at the Curriculum Library service counter and should also be returned there. SERVICE CHARGES accumulate at the rate of $.25 per day for each item checked out. No fines are charged during the 3 day "grace period" following the actual due date stamped in the item (i.e., on the fourth day, the overdue fine would be $1.00 per item ; on the fifth day, the fine would be $1.25 per item). Eventually, if a book is not returned, the patron is charged for replacement of the item plus a $15.00 processing fee. As a courtesy, overdue notices are mailed for late materials. A failure to receive this reminder does not constitute a valid excuse for voiding overdue service charges. Information on how to receive most library notices via email--rather than traditional mail--can be found on the email notification page. After overdue items are returned, a statement of overdue charges is mailed to the patron. The charges must be paid at the library's main circulation desk, located on the first floor, West Wing. Patrons wishing to pay through the mail should send a check to: UWM Library |
