Subject Listing: World War II |
During World War II, United Community Services of Greater Milwaukee
developed numerous programs to assist with the war effort. Among these
developments was the United Community and War Fund, Inc., which had the purpose
of raising and distributing funds to help defray Milwaukee County's war relief
expenses. This record, dated 1943, documents the group's decision to amend its constitution
and increase its original
membership number of forty members to fifty.
