ABSTRACT:Index produced in the 1980s to the names of brides and grooms recorded with the various county registers of deeds, including all counties throughout the state. For each entry, the name of the bride or groom and date and county of marriage are shown, along with volume and page number of the registration volume where it is recorded. The volume number of the original county index and the sequential number assigned to each entry are also given. Some entries cover marriages performed in earlier years, with the earliest date noted being 1823. This series indexes Wisconsin Series 2073.

Wisconsin Series 2073 is divided among the Area Research Centers by county. The Archives at the University of Wisconsin--Milwaukee only has the records for this series for Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Sheboygan, Washington, and Waukesha counties.
