ABSTRACT: Collection contains a muster-out roll for the field and staff officers and non-commissioned officers of the 51st Wisconsin, dated August 26, 1865. The muster-out roll gives the name of the men, their rank, age, when and for how long they enlisted, and the last time they were paid.

ACQUISITION: The collection was given to the Milwaukee Public Library at an unknown date and by an unknown donor. The Milwaukee Public Library transferred the collection to the Milwaukee Urban Archives in May 1991 (accession number 95-057).
PROCESSING: Juanita Cuiter and Shawn Carlson processed the collection at the Archives between May-October 1991.
