ABSTRACT: Minutes, attendance records, and rosters of officers of a post organized in January 1946 by veterans of World War II, and named in honor of a soldier killed in action in the Pacific theater. The Polish Legion of American Veterans was first established in Wisconsin in 1923, and has maintained an active interest in Milwaukee and veterans affairs throughout its history. During World War II all PLAV posts purchased war bonds, donated to American and Polish relief programs, and maintained a drill team and fife and drum corps. Like all veterans organizations, the PLAV seeks to promote legislation of benefit to veterans and supports many patriotic activities.
