ABSTRACT: Papers, mainly 1952 to 1969, of the commander of Post 442 of the Wisconsin Department of the Jewish War Veterans of the United States of America, and an editor and columnist for the Milwaukee Journal. The bulk of the collection concerns the Jewish War Veterans and consists of articles of incorporation, membership lists, printed material, minutes, correspondence, newsletters and releases. Also included is a file of articles, drafts and correspondence reflecting his career as a journalist; awards and certificates; a small scrapbook of clippings; and photographs depicting Chester and other members of the Jewish War Veterans.
