ABSTRACT: A lis pendens is a notice that an action has been commenced and is pending in court upon the complaint of the plaintiff against the defendant on the foreclosure of a mortgage. Documents show court of jurisdiction; document number and date of filing; name of plaintiff and defendant; date and identification of the mortgage; description of real estate involved; and signature of the plaintiff's attorney. Indexed by the Index of lis pendens (Milwaukee Micro Series 20).
