ABSTRACT: Index to "Register of marriages" (Milwaukee Micro Series 13) listing marriages in Milwaukee County; showing name of husband, name of wife before marriage, date of marriage, and volume and page number where recorded. This series could also be used as an index to the "Certificates of marriage" (Milwaukee Series 39) which are arranged chronologically.  Though the originals were in bound volumes, the volumes were designated only by their contents and were not paginated.

ACCESS RESTRICTIONS: There are no access restrictions on the materials, and the collection is open to all members of the public in accordance with state law. However, the researcher assumes full responsibility for conforming with the laws of libel, privacy, and copyright which may be involved in the use of this collection (Wisconsin Statutes 19.21-19.39).

ARRANGEMENT: In chronological segments, thereunder by husband or wife, thereunder alphabetical by first letter of surname, and thereunder by date of marriage.

PROCESSING: This series is available only on microfilm. This microfilm was produced by the Genealogical Society of Utah in 1977, which holds the master negative. This is a negative user copy. This volume was very thick and could not be taken apart for filming.  Writing in the extreme inner corners may be difficult to read.

Original records are held by the Milwaukee County Register of Deeds.
