Thomas S. Allen from Mineral Point, Wisconsin became Colonel
of Fifth Regiment Infantry on December 25, 1862. On November 7, 1863, he
recieved a wound at Rappahannock Station, Virginia, but remained in the army until the expiration
of his term on August 2, 1864.
