Books/Scores
Replacement = $60 + Handling Fee = $15 Total = $75
Recordings
Replacement = $20 (per disc) + Handling Fee = $15 Total = $35 minimum. For a 3 disc set the charge would be $75, $20/disc + the handling fee.
NOTE:If the item is returned, the replacement fee will be removed. The handling fee is collected to reimburse the Library for personnel time spent in billing, etc.
The Music Library consists of three sections:
All music materials may be found in PantherCat, The Library's Web-based Online Catalog. Online and paper guides to searching PantherCat are in process. Please check back.

Circulating books and printed music must be checked out at one of the service counters on the second floor, East Wing. Sound recordings circulate for 3 days to undergraduate students and for one week to faculty, staff and graduate students.
PLEASE NOTE: Audio materials do not circulate to special permit holders or InfoPass users.
Listening facilties include 10 carrels which receive sound from a master unit of turntables, cassette players and compact disc players, an additional 10 stations include 8 with CD players, 4 with cassette decks, and 4 with turntables, for user-controlled, listening.
Users may borrow headphones and recordings for use in the Library with a valid UWM ID.
The general public may also listen to recordings in this area upon presentation of a driver's license or other form of identification.
Reserve Music Materials
Sound recordings and scores placed on reserve by faculty can be found at the Music Service Counter and may be checked out for use in this area. Books and journal articles about music which the faculty place on reserve are located in the Library's main Reserve Collection, first floor, East Wing.

Copyright laws prohibit copying, in its entirety, any vinyl recordings, tapes or compact discs from the Music Library collection. Fair Use provisions do allow for copying of small amounts of musical material for direct educational use. Please ask at the Music Library Service Counter for more details.
