B.S. in Information Resources, MLIS, and Post-Master's Certificate of Advanced Study in Library and Information Science. Doctoral training is offered with a specialization in Educational and Media Technology under the auspices of the doctoral program in Urban Education; a multidisciplinary doctoral program administered by SOIS through the Graduate School. The school offers an undergraduate certificate in Library and Information Science and an undergraduate certification for Instructional Library Media Specialist. It offers the following coordinated degrees in cooperation with other schools and departments: Master of Music/MLIS, M.A. in Geography/MLIS, M.A. in History/MLIS, M.S. in Anthropology/MLIS, M.S. in Urban Studies/MLIS, M.A. in Foreign Language and Literature/MLIS, and M.A. in English/MLIS. Library automation and computer applications; information systems; information management; management of academic, public, school, and special libraries, and of archives; reference sources and services; cataloging and classification; indexing and abstracting; information sources, including government documents, business, legal, and health sources, humanities, music, cartographic, social science, and science and technology sources; library materials for children and young adults; history of books and printing; international librarianship. | |
