B.S. and M.S in Criminal Justice. Interactions between police, courts and corrections, the role of criminal justice agencies in society, and the effects on society of alternative criminal justice policies are emphasized at the undergraduate level. More advanced study focuses on the legal, organizational, political, and behavioral frameworks for analyzing and understanding criminal justice policy, and the administration and operations of the criminal justice system. The nature and causes of crime, the justification and means of social control, and the evaluation of criminal justice programs are studied.
