Any faculty member can request a Library Special Permit card for a student runner to assist the faculty member with his/her research. A faculty member who provides a student with a runner card assumes total responsibility for all materials charged out to that card. All lost books, recall fines, and other service charges will be the responsibility of the faculty member. Faculty authorization cards must be renewed every semester to ensure that students who no longer work for a specific faculty member cannot check out materials without faculty consent. If the Library Special Permit card is lost, a replacement card will be issued only to the faculty member. Faculty who would like to authorize others to check out books for them should inquire about the application process at the main Circulation Desk or call (414) 229-4132.
Any person may join the Friends of the Golda Meir Library which is an association whose purpose is to foster awareness of the Library and to strengthen this valuable resource through community awareness and involvement in the Friends Organization.
