Epi Info - Epidemiology Program Office (Center for Disease Control)
Epi Info is a public domain software package designed for the global community of public health practitioners and researchers. It provides for easy form and database construction, data entry, and analysis with epidemiologic statistics, maps, and graphs. The Epi Info software package includeds Epi Map 2002, an ArcView®-compatible GIS which displays geographic maps with data from Epi Info 2002.

GRIN: Great Images In NASA
This site contains a collection of over a thousand NASA images of significant historical interest scanned at high-resolution in several sizes. Images may be searched, browsed, or downloaded.

Historic Atlas and Map Valuation and Conservation
A web page for people wanting to have their old maps valued. (Don't try to correct the typo in the address. At the time of this writing, 19 March 2002, "mapvalutaion" works, and "mapvaluation" does not.)

Lewis and Clark Expedition GIS - David Rumsey Map Collection
To commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Lewis and Clark Expedition, 30 of the most significant historical maps of the region from the David Rumsey Collection are now available on-line via a GIS Viewer, which allows on-line visitors to interact with, integrate, and visualize these historic maps along with the modern geospatial data from NASA, USGS, ESRI and GCS Research.

National Wetlands Inventory: Wetlands Interactive Mapper Tool
Pull up an interactive wetlands map in the US by querying county, city name, zip, coordinates, etc. Color coded areas show the various types of wetlands and there is an option of adding line themes such as streets, streams, and railroads.

American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS)
Web site of the ASPRS -- a.k.a. the Imaging and Geospatial Information Society --a society whose mission is to advance knowledge and improve understanding of mapping sciences, and to promote the responsible applications of photogrammetry, remote sensing, geographic information systems (GIS), and supporting technologies.

Association for Geographic Information
AGI is a British organization that serves as a national center for geographic information. Check out publications, specialty groups, conferences, or use the AGI GIS dictionary.

Federal Geographic Data Committee
Organization belonging to the National Spatial Data Infrastructure. View the latest news, standards, info on metadata, or link to the clearinghouse of over 250 spatial data servers to look for digital geographic data.

Geospatial Information & Technology Association (GITA)
This is the homepage of GITA, a non-profit educational organization which provides informatin on the benefits of geospatial information in telecommunications.

Imaging and Geospatial Information Society - See the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS)

National Center for Geographic Information and Analysis

Geoscience Publications: Historical US County Boundary Files
The Historical United States CD Boundary Files(HUSCO) CD contains ArcView shapefile format county boundary files for the contiguous United States for each decade from 1790 through 1990 (also 1999). This site gives information on how to order the CD.
