GEO Data Portal

GeoConnections is a national initiative to provide Canadians with geospatial information over the Internet. Its focus has shifted from program information to services, now integrating the GeoConnections Discovery Portal (formerly CEONet).

National Wetlands Inventory Center
The National Wetlands Inventory Project was established to generate information about the characteristics, extent and status of the Nation's wetlands and deep water habitats. This site is produced by the Department of Fish and Wildlife; a division of the Department of the Interior.

Scorecard/Environmental Defense Fund
EDF has their Chemical Scorecard at this site. It includes a database of 1995 TRI release facilities with associated health effects. Interactive maps are included in this site.

State of the Land
This site provides data and analysis on land use, soil erosion and soil quality, water quality, wetlands, and other issues regarding the conservation and use of natural resources. GIS coverage's for national analysis are an important component.
