SNAP (Standard Name and Address Program) files were created by Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, Bureau of Workforce Information, and distributed by WI Department of Administration as part of the WI DOA GIS dataset. This data layer is a point shapefile of the Standard Name and Address Program (SNAP) in Wisconsin as of December 2001. It contains the names and addresses of all employers covered by Wisconsin's Unemployment Insurance Law, the primary source of ES-202 covered employment and wages data. This data layer is for use in generalized mapping applications, and is intended for use with GIS software. The level of accuracy does not support detailed local analysis. (Particular attention should be paid to data in the fields "N_MCODE" and "N_LCODE" which indicates the level of accuracy to which each point was address matched.)
