STS Student is Featured UWM Graduate

Tina Anderson, an STS employee (Shift Supervisor for the Campus Solution Center), was a featured graduate on the UWM Web page in December. The article, “UWM Grad’s Degree a Family Triumph,” written by Laura Hunt, noted that “For Tina M. Anderson, along with her husband and their three children, the bachelor’s degree in business she will receive from UWM on Dec. 21 is the best present any family could ask for.”

The inspiring story went on to describe the many obstacles that the family overcame as Anderson pursued her education. The article also notes that “Anderson, the first person in her family to earn a college degree, is currently working toward a certificate in the American Sign Language program. When she’s through, it’s on to graduate school where she hopes to study how to improve the delivery of goods and services to the deaf and hard-of-hearing.”
