The University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents has established the Rules and Regulations which govern behavior on all UW campuses. The University Police have the authority to enforce those UWS Rules and Regulations on all UWM property, as well as all Wisconsin State Statutes anywhere within the County of Milwaukee. Chapter UWS 18 of the Rules and Regulations,Conduct on University Lands, specifies the behavior which is prohibited on UWM property.

UWM Police Bike Patrol
The UWM Police bike patrol is in its inaugural year thanks to a generous donation of 3 Schwinn Rocket Bicycles, from Pacific Cycle out of Madison. We have a number of certified trained officers with the International Police Mountain Bike Association (IPMBA). Officers on bikes will enable our department to respond to calls for service in a faster manner as well as ensuring a safer campus environment due to the fact that bikes are able to maneuver around campus easier than the patrol squads.
