Abstract: |
This paper estimates the incomes of
self-employed households in Korean urban areas under the assumption that
the consumption pattern of the self-employed household group is the same
as that of salary- and wage-earning household group. The incomes of the
self-employed households are surveyed but are not reproted in Korea due
to the unreliability of the surveyed data. Since the self-employed
household group contains very sensitive portion of the population in
income distribution, our results would help obtaining more reliable
estimates for the distribution of household incomes in Korea. |
