Public Events The Station also conducts educational programs for the general public. Walks and open houses examine topics such as Winter Ecology, Bird Identification, and Spring Flora of the Cedarburg Bog. Thursday, May 8, 7:00 - 9:00 pm Natural History of the Cedarburg Bog led by Kate Redmond. Sunday, May 25, 9:00 am - noon Canoe Mud Lake led by Ron Horn & John O'Donnell. Sunday, June 1, 8:00 - 11:30 am Solstice Walk led by Kate Redmond. Friday, June 20, 6:00 - 8:30 pm What's in Bloom in the Bog led by Kate Redmond. Sunday, June 29, 9:00 am - noon Edible & Medicinal Plants led by Kate Redmond. Sunday, July 20, 9:00 am - noon Events are free and open to the public. Donations to the Friends are appreciated. Reservations required - space is limited. Please call (262) 675-6844 or email fieldstn@uwm.edu with your name, phone number, and the walk you are planning to attend. If you have a hand lens, binoculars, or a flashlight, bring them depending on the event.
