Recent and on-going projects:
I have received a grant from the Centro Roberto Hernández. It will be used for the project of Luisa Capetillo as an activist and educator. This project has different components, among them a workshop, a play, and a finalized report on the audience's response to the workshop and the play. The play, "Luisa Capetillo: La musa activa/The Active Muse" will be staged at Bader Hall, UWM, on Thursday May 8th, 2008. It will also be staged at Hamilton Hall, UW-Whitewater, on May 6th.
Dissemination of Luisa Capetillo's works to a broader audience through a symposium and performance at the UPR-Cayey in October 2007. A podcasting project related to the events, including reading, performance, and interviews is in the works.
