2:00pm - Commencement Ceremony
for all Bachelor's, Master's, and Ph.D. Candidates

U.S. Cellular Arena
400 W. Kilbourn Avenue

UWM's December 2008 Commencement for Bachelor's, Master's, and Ph.D. candidates will be at 2:00pm on Sunday, December 21, 2008. The ceremony will be at the U.S. Cellular Arena at 400 W. Kilbourn Avenue, Milwaukee.

Master's and Ph.D.
- The Commencement ceremony begins at 2:00pm sharp.
- Directions and Map to the U.S. Cellular Arena
- Ph.D candidates need to arrive by 12:55pm for the Ph.D. dress rehearsal that begins at 1:00pm.
Directions for Ph.D.'s
- Master’s candidates should arrive by 1:15pm. Line up on the lower level at the
appropriate School/College banner. Directions for Master's
- Cap and Gown Information
- Each graduate is limited to 7 (seven) guests each for audience seating areas. This is to attempt to provide seats for all guests. No tickets are necessary nor are distributed at any time.
- Arena doors open at 1:00pm; seating is on a first come, first serve basis.
- The Ceremony will last about 2 hours.
- Please plan to stay seated for the entire ceremony out of courtesy to all graduates.
- Handicapped entrance to the Arena is at 500 W. Kilbourn Ave. Sections 200, 205, 210, 222 and 226 have been designated for wheelchair access.
- Doctoral candidates must have a faculty escort (usually one's major professor).
- If your contact information is restricted and you would like your name included in the Commencement Booklet, please contact the UWM Department of Enrollment Services Information Center, Mellencamp 274, 414-229-3800.
- A Floor Diagram of the line-up areas and where graduates are seated by school/college will be available on this website by November 28, 2008.
