Scholarships provide additional financial support for eligible students. Through the generosity and vision of friends, alumni and faculty, the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare has established scholarships through the UWM Foundation for the benefit of its students. These scholarships are in addition to the scholarships available through UWM’s Financial Aid Office. The deadline for submission of applications for academic year 2007/2008 is April 30, 2007. Start your application today. And best of luck to you!

Use the Scholarship Application Form to get started. Most scholarships require that you submit information in addition to the application form (e.g., transcripts, etc.). Please read carefully all the information concerning the scholarship(s) for which you are applying.

APPLICATIONS

The deadline for submission of applications is April 1, 2008. Applications are available from the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare, Enderis Hall, 11th floor, or can be downloaded from this page using Adobe Acrobat (PDF auto fill-in version). Completed applications should be mailed to:

Diane Miller, Assistant Dean
Helen Bader School of Social Welfare
P.O. Box 786
Milwaukee, WI 53201

or can be returned to Helen Bader School of Social Welfare Student Services, on the Eleventh Floor of Enderis Hall. Electronic (email) submission of completed applications or supporting materials will not be accepted.

Downloadable Fill-in 2008/2009 Application in PDF Instructions: Download and rename the auto fill-in file on your computer. Mail or return the application to Helen Bader School of Social Welfare Student Services. Electronic transmission of completed fill-in applications will not be accepted.

Important Note: Status of scholarships are subject to change, new ones are often added, and there are some available that require a separate application process.

Did you know? Many HBSSW scholarship winners have told us they almost didn’t apply because they didn’t think they had the chance to win. So go for it!
