Admissions
The School of Information Studies (SOIS) prepares
students for careers in information professions.
Its faculty and curriculum encourage students
to develop progressive attitudes toward information
services, and help them develop an understanding
of the value, role, and application of modern
technology as it relates to information operations
and to the transfer of information.
The SOIS curriculum keeps pace with changes in
the field and in society. The faculty interacts
with leaders in the information professions, and
the school maintains a number of adjunct faculty
members who are practitioners in the field.
The excellent education SOIS students receive
helps them respond to the national need for trained
information professionals. The country's leading
institutions continually seek SOIS graduates for
their expertise in areas of new information technology.
