Map of physics building and area

The main entrance of the Physics building is on Kenwood Boulevard (star on the first map, above). The number on the building -- 1965 -- is the year it was built and not the address. To find the Planetarium, go up the steps to the main entrance, and then walk past the vending machines and the bathrooms. Continue down the hallway where you will see the planetarium door, on your right.

If you need a wheel-chair accessible entrance, use the path between Physics and Engineering, off Cramer Street. The entrance to Physics is on your right. Once inside the building, you will see the planetarium door immediately to your left.

Parking can be tricky, especially when classes are in session, so please allow time to park. The closest lot is the Science Parking lot (see above map). It is off Kenwood, west of Maryland Avenue. Remember to bring change to purchase a ticket from the parking booths. Please note that parking rules are enforced on campus Monday through Saturday. Sometimes there is available street parking; however, make sure to read the street signs for specific restrictions.

The UWM campus is located on Milwaukee's upper east side, east of the Milwaukee River, just north of Locust Street, approximately one-quarter mile west of Lake Michigan, and just south of the City of Shorewood.
