LINKS Peer Outreach and Mentoring Center welcomes you to an exciting year!
Our theme this year is: "Futures Under Construction".
We offer you opportunities that will inspire and support you. We anticipate an exciting year of change, growth and success—so should you!
LINKS was created by students for students. Peer mentors help you as you transition from private individual to public student. LINKS can assist you in areas of personal growth, social experience and college life.
What can you expect?
Enthusiastic, dedicated peer mentors who will be a “sounding board” for your questions (you know, the ones you can’t ask in class) and a “shoulder” to lean on during midterms and finals. You can meet with your mentor at your convenience. We hope you will use this opportunity to meet fellow students and build lasting relationships.
Nothing pleases us more than to say to continuing students:
“Welcome Back”! We appreciate your return this semester and look forward to
serving you again.
LINKS is more than “just a mentoring program”, we are students helping students
and our focus is to help you make the most of your time at UWM. Stop in
the Center for assistance and information on a wide range of topics – including
how to connect with a student organization, a volunteer opportunity
or the best place to grab a “between class” snack. Don’t hesitate to take
advantage of us. We understand that only excellent service will keep you
coming back.
Want to know more?
We're located in the Student Union, on the ground floor, Rm. WG10 (across from the 8th Note Coffeehouse), or call us at
229-6338. We hope that you will soon feel at home in your new surroundings and
that you find much to enjoy and appreciate at UWM!
If you're looking for good friends, a fun time, and a comfy chill spot on campus, be sure
to check us out. Our new bright red, “shag-a-delic” furniture not only compliments
our bright new staff members, but also our brand spanking new slogan. Thanks to Kiera Castle, one
of our gorgeous, veteran mentors and a UWM Senior!
“LEADING AND INSPIRING NEW & KNOWLEDGEABLE STUDENTS”
We look forward to seeing some of our old friends from semesters passed, and new faces as well. Please, don’t be a stranger!
