Be On the Safe Side [B.O.S.S.]-Student Escort and Transportation Services: provides a shuttle/escort service in the evening for those students who would otherwise walk alone. If you live close to campus, you can have a team of escorts accompany you home at night through the escort program.
Center for Volunteerism and Student Leadership: purpose is to foster an ethic of service and leadership within the UW-Milwaukee campus community by promoting and supporting volunteerism that addresses human and societal needs.
Dean of Students: has primary
responsibility
for nonacademic discipline, grievances and appeals. The office also
provides ombudsman
services to students who have difficulties with University offices
or processes.
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Resource Center: is a drop-in center to connect with various student populations and the community at large by increasing the awareness, education, and presence of LGBT issues on the UWM campus and providing a resource for students and community members wanting to learn about and advocate for LGBT issues.
Links: Peer Outreach and Mentoring: is a place for students to gather, interact, and develop leadership skills through mentoring relationships. The office will extend campus relations into the community by working with local junior high and high schools to encourage college attendance and completion.
Student Activities Office: oversees registered student organizations at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee through administering campus policies and procedures, supervising university segregated fee expenditures, and providing organizations with guidance, support and training resources.
Women's Resource Center: is a drop-in center where students can meet, network, organize, celebrate, explore issues, read and relax. It is also a clearinghouse for woman-focused services, events and opportunities on and off campus.
The Clery Act of 1998 requires that UWM publish crime statistics along with policies and procedures to be followed in cases of sex offenses. Most of this information has been and will continue to be published each semester in the Schedule of Classes.
