During UWM’s
March 2003 reorganization, the Department of Multicultural Affairs and
the Student Accessibility Center joined the Division of Academic Affairs
and were linked with Equity/Diversity Services. This new linkage, known
as The Offices of Equity Access & Diversity, will promote a more comprehensive
and cohesive campus presence for equity, inclusion, and multicultural
concerns. Equity/Diversity Services Director Anthony Hightower has been
charged with management and oversight responsibility for The Offices of
Equity Access & Diversity. Although these three departments have come
together as a working unit, each department is expected to maintain its
core mission and structural integrity.
